My friend Danny's work is as unique and engaging as he is himself - and as complex. The first time I saw his paintings; impressions of bold, unusual colour combinations, the strong graphic influences, they were instantly fascinating and memorable.

Then they come - the deeper layers; the political message, the human story. Who are these people? How did they end up on these large canvasses, their images translated into segregated colours, pulled together with confident, freely drawn lines? Danny has brought their lives into public view.

This is my friend. A highly skilled, focused graphic designer, and the painter- a wonderfully free thinking, caring, opinionated and witty man.
